Amieva is a municipality in the autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. The name also refers to one of the municipality's subdivisions, or parishes, into which the municipality is organised.
It is located in the eastern part of Asturias, within the Picos de Europa area of the Cantabrian Mountains. The municipality is made up of several small rural parishes rather than a single large urban centre, and its landscape is characterised by mountain terrain and the valleys of the rivers that cross it.
Amieva is known for its proximity to the Picos de Europa National Park and for the Sella River, which runs through the municipality and is a popular destination for canoeing and other river activities. The area also preserves traditional Asturian rural architecture, including examples of the region's characteristic granaries, known as hórreos.
