Lantz

Spain

Lantz is a town and municipality in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, in the north of Spain. It is located in the mountainous north of the region, within the Pyrenean foothills of the Basque-speaking zone of Navarre.

Lantz is best known for its annual carnival, held in February, in which participants dressed as the character Miel Otxin parade through the town before the effigy is burned in the main square. The town is also the starting point for hikes to the nearby peak of Saioa and the surrounding beech forests of the Quinto Real.
