Huarte (also known as Uharte) is a town and municipality in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, in northern Spain.
It lies within the Navarre region, which sits in the north of the country, bordering France along the Pyrenees. As a municipality, Huarte covers both the town itself and its surrounding area, and it forms part of the wider comarca centred on the Navarrese capital, Pamplona.
Like other settlements in this part of Navarre, Huarte is a distinct local administrative unit within the province, with its own municipal government. The town is known by both the Spanish form of its name, Huarte, and the Basque form, Uharte, reflecting the bilingual character of the region.
