Ezkurra

Spain

Ezkurra is a town and municipality in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, in northern Spain. It is one of the many small municipalities that make up the rural interior of Navarre, a region of Spain that lies along the western Pyrenees and borders France to the north.

The town's name comes from the Basque language spoken by its inhabitants. Basque, known locally as Euskara, is spoken in Navarre alongside Spanish, and place names of Basque origin are common throughout the northern part of the province.

As a municipality, Ezkurra serves as the local administrative unit for the town and its surrounding area. Like other settlements in this part of Navarre, it forms part of the region's scattered network of small towns and villages rather than a large urban centre.
