Arguedas

Spain

Arguedas is a town and municipality in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, in northern Spain. It is located in the Ebro River valley in the southern part of Navarre, near the border with the neighbouring region of Aragon.

The municipality had a population of 2,309 in 2015. Like much of southern Navarre, the surrounding area is characterised by a semi-arid landscape of plains and river terraces, in contrast to the greener, mountainous north of the region.

Arguedas lies close to the Bardenas Reales, a semi-desert natural area and UNESCO biosphere reserve that is one of Navarre's best-known landscapes. The town is also near Tudela, the main urban centre of southern Navarre.
