Pliego is a municipality in the autonomous region of Murcia in southeastern Spain. It lies in the Comarca del Río Mula, a comarca centred on the Mula river. The municipality has a population of 3,868.
It is a small town situated near the Sierra Espuña mountains and their nature park. The surrounding countryside consists of groves of olives, almonds and apricots.
