Mazarron

Mazarrón is a municipality situated in the autonomous community and province of Murcia in southeastern Spain. The region is characterized by its Mediterranean landscape, and the municipality covers a total area of 318.7 square kilometres.

As of 2019, the municipality had a population of 31,562 inhabitants. A notable local landmark is a military fortification constructed in the 1930s. This site serves as a tourist attraction and is located on the historic road connecting Mazarrón and Cartagena, situated just outside the municipal boundaries.
