Caravaca de la Cruz, commonly referred to as Caravaca, is a town and municipality situated in the Region of Murcia in southeastern Spain. It is located on the northern bank of the Argos river, which serves as a tributary of the Segura.

As of 2010, the municipality had a recorded population of 26,449 residents. The town is defined by its geographical position within the southeastern Iberian Peninsula and its proximity to the local river systems.
