Alameda del Valle

Spain

Alameda del Valle is a municipality in Spain, located in the Community of Madrid. It lies roughly 92 kilometres (57 miles) northeast of the city of Madrid.

The municipality is one of the small settlements of the Sierra Norte de Madrid, the mountainous northern part of the region. It shares its name with the Alameda del Valle valley area in which it sits, in the upper basin of the Lozoya river, a zone characterised by its elevation and its surrounding pine and oak woodland.

Like other municipalities in the Community of Madrid, Alameda del Valle has its own local administration and is counted as a separate entity within the region's official list of municipalities, distinct from the capital and from other towns that carry similar names elsewhere in Spain.
