Gimileo is a village and municipality in the province and autonomous community of La Rioja, in northern Spain. It lies within the Ebro Valley region of La Rioja, a part of the country known for its wine production and for a string of small, closely spaced settlements along the river plain.
The municipality covers an area of just 4 square kilometres (about 1.5 square miles), making it one of the smallest by territory in the province. In 2011 its population was recorded as 171, reflecting the modest scale typical of the many rural villages that make up much of La Rioja's interior.
Like other municipalities in the region, Gimileo is administered as a local entity within the autonomous community of La Rioja, whose capital is Logroño. Its small size and low population mean it functions primarily as a residential village rather than an urban centre.
