Enciso

Spain

Enciso is a small municipality in the southern part of La Rioja, Spain, located near the town of Arnedo. It lies in the upper reaches of the Cidacos River valley.

The main village is situated above the Cidacos River, occupying an elevated position relative to the watercourse that runs through the area. Its setting in southern La Rioja places it within the broader Ebro Basin region of northern Spain.

As a municipality, Enciso is one of the smaller population centres in La Rioja, a region known for its wine production and for the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route that crosses its northern territory. The village's position above the Cidacos and its proximity to Arnedo define its basic geographic context within the comarca of the same river valley.
