Alfaro is a town and municipality located in the La Rioja region of northern Spain. It covers an area of 194.23 km² and had a recorded population of 9,883 inhabitants as of January 2009.
The location is notably recognized for the "Storks of Alfaro," which are known for their annual return and nesting in the area.
