Valencia is a city in Ecuador and the cantonal head of Valencia Canton in Los Rios Province. It is the sixth most populated city in the province and is located in the center-north of Ecuador's coastal region on an extensive plain at the outer flanks of the western Andes mountain range, at an altitude of 105 meters above sea level.

The city experiences a tropical rainy climate with an average temperature of 26 °C. Its geography places it in a transitional zone between the coastal lowlands and the Andean foothills, giving it a strategic position within the province's settlement patterns.
