Tena

Ecuador

Tena is a city located in Ecuador's Napo Province, of which it serves as both the capital and largest city. The city sits in the Amazon rainforest approximately 195 kilometers from Quito, Ecuador's capital. Tena is the administrative seat of Tena Canton.

As a major settlement within the Amazon basin, Tena provides access to the rainforest ecosystem and serves as a regional hub for the Napo Province. Its location in the eastern lowlands makes it a gateway for both regional commerce and travel into the surrounding Amazonian territory.
