Hirschfeld

Germany

Hirschfeld is a municipality in the district of Greiz, in the state of Thuringia, Germany. It lies in the eastern part of the state, within the administrative district whose seat is the town of Greiz.

The municipality is a member of the municipal association (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) Am Brahmetal, a collective administrative body through which it shares municipal services with neighbouring communities. The association takes its name from the Brahme, a small river in the area.

As a member municipality of Am Brahmetal, Hirschfeld conducts its local administration in cooperation with the other member communities of the association rather than maintaining a fully independent municipal administration of its own.
