Buchholz is a village in the district of Nordhausen, in the state of Thuringia, Germany. It lies in the northern part of Thuringia, a region in central Germany, within the administrative district whose seat is the town of Nordhausen.
Buchholz was formerly an independent municipality. In July 2018 it was incorporated into the town of Nordhausen, and since then it has formed part of that town rather than being a separate administrative unit.
As a village within Nordhausen, Buchholz is one of several small settlements in the surrounding area that were absorbed into the town as part of local government reorganization. The village is distinct from other places in Germany also named Buchholz.
