Biesdorf is a municipality in the district of Bitburg-Prüm, in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in western Germany. It is a small rural settlement rather than a town, and it should not be confused with the Biesdorf district of Berlin, which shares the same name.
The village lies in the Eifel region near Germany's western border, within the Bitburg-Prüm district, an area made up of numerous small municipalities. As a local administrative unit, Biesdorf has its own municipal council and is part of the wider Verbandsgemeinde structure typical of Rhineland-Palatinate, in which several small municipalities share administrative services.
Like much of the surrounding Eifel countryside, the area around Biesdorf is characterised by rolling hills, farmland and woodland. The municipality is one of many small communities in the district, and its population is correspondingly modest.
