Friedberg

Friedberg is a town situated in the district of Aichach-Friedberg within the state of Bavaria, Germany. It currently has a population of approximately 30,000 inhabitants and is located adjacent to the city of Augsburg along the river Lech.

The settlement was established during the 13th century. Its founding was specifically intended to facilitate the collection of tolls from individuals crossing the bridge over the Lech river.
