Falkenberg is a municipality in the district of Rottal-Inn, in the German state of Bavaria. It lies in Lower Bavaria, the eastern part of the state, within a district whose administrative seat is the town of Pfarrkirchen.
The municipality includes the village of Diepoltskirchen, one of the localities that make up the community alongside Falkenberg itself. As a Bavarian municipality, it forms part of the region's system of local government, in which the district (Landkreis) oversees services for its constituent towns and villages.
