Bergheim is a municipality in the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It is one of the smaller communities within this district, which lies in the Upper Bavaria administrative region of the state.
The municipality is situated in the southern part of the district, in the countryside north of the Danube river. Like many rural Bavarian communes, it is composed of a main village together with a number of outlying hamlets and farmsteads, and its landscape is characterised by open fields and small wooded areas typical of the region.
Bergheim is administered as part of the wider Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district, whose seat is the town of Neuburg an der Donau. The area is served by local road connections linking it to neighbouring communities and to the nearby towns of the district.
