Rust is a municipality located in the Ortenau district of Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany. The town is situated near the Rhine valley in the state's western region.
Rust is internationally known as the home of Europa-Park, one of Germany's major theme parks. The park incorporates Balthasar Castle, a Renaissance-era structure that has been integrated into the attraction. Adjacent to Rust lies the Taubergießen, a protected floodplain forest that represents an important natural area in the region.
