Essingen is a municipality in the Ostalbkreis district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies about 73 kilometres east of Stuttgart, just outside the city of Aalen.
The Rems river begins just outside Essingen, flowing down the Remstal valley to merge with the Neckar near Stuttgart.
