Berg is a municipality in the district of Ravensburg, in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is a small, rural community in the south of the country, situated in the region of Upper Swabia near the northern shore of Lake Constance.
Like other municipalities in the Ravensburg district, Berg is a local administrative unit with its own municipal council, and it forms part of the wider Bodensee (Lake Constance) area that draws visitors for its scenery and waterside towns. The surrounding landscape is characterised by rolling hills, farmland and views toward the Alps.
Berg should not be confused with other places bearing the same name in Germany, including the municipality of Berg in the district of Ahrweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Berg district of the city of Stuttgart. The Baden-Württemberg municipality in Ravensburg is a distinct and separate community.
