Mansoura is an abandoned village located in the UN Buffer Zone near Kokkina in Cyprus. The settlement was originally established as a Turkish Cypriot community, remaining exclusively inhabited by Turkish Cypriots until 1911. The population grew gradually throughout the twentieth century, expanding from 41 residents in 1891 to 147 by 1960, at which point Turkish Cypriots comprised approximately 86% of the inhabitants.
The village experienced displacement during the Cyprus conflict beginning in December 1963, when Greek Cypriot residents fled. In August 1964, Turkish Cypriot inhabitants were forced to evacuate after the village came under attack from General Grivas and the Greek Cypriot National Guard. UNFICYP coordinated the evacuation. The displaced Turkish Cypriots initially sought refuge in nearby enclaves including Kokkina/Erenköy, Limnitis/Yeşilırmak, and Lefka/Lefke, where they remained until 1976. They were subsequently resettled in Turkish-controlled areas of the island, principally in Yialousa/Yenierenköy on the Karpasia peninsula.
