Melena del Sur is a town and municipality situated in the Mayabeque Province of Cuba. It is located in the southern portion of the province, bordered by several neighboring regions including San José de las Lajas to the north and northwest, Güines to the east, and Batabanó to the west.
The municipality's southern boundary is defined by the Gulf of Batabanó. This coastline features Mayabeque Beach, which serves as the town's only beach and marks the mouth of the Mayabeque River.
