Susa is a town and municipality located in Ubaté Province within the Cundinamarca Department of Colombia. Situated at an altitude of 2,655 metres (8,711 ft) on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense plateau, Susa is positioned approximately 130 kilometres (81 miles) northeast of the capital city Bogotá.
The municipality is geographically bounded by the towns of Simijaca, Fúquene, and San Miguel de Sema, as well as Lake Fúquene, which lies adjacent to its borders. The town's high-altitude location on the Andean plateau characterizes its climate and landscape.
