Valparaíso is a town and municipality located in Antioquia Department in northwestern Colombia. It forms part of the Southwestern Antioquia subregion, a geographical and administrative division within the department.
According to the 2002 census, Valparaíso had a population of 8,033 people. The municipality serves as a local administrative center for the surrounding area within its subregion.
