Pu'an

China

Pu'an is a town in the Chongqing municipality of southwest China. It lies within the municipality's territory in the Sichuan Basin region, an area administered directly by the Chongqing city government rather than by a surrounding province.

Chongqing is one of China's four direct-administered municipalities, and its jurisdiction extends well beyond the urban core to encompass numerous districts, counties, and towns across a large and varied territory. Pu'an is one of the many smaller settlements within that administrative framework, situated in the rural or peri-urban countryside that makes up much of the municipality's outlying area.

Like other towns in the Chongqing region, Pu'an is part of a landscape characterized by hilly terrain and a humid subtropical climate. Detailed information about the town's specific history, population, and local features is limited, and it is distinct from the better-known Pu'an County in Guizhou province to the south.
