Luotian County is a geographical subdivision located in the northeastern region of Hubei Province, China. It operates under the administration of Huanggang City and encompasses a total land area of approximately 2,144 square kilometers. As of 2020, the county had a population of roughly 500,000 residents.
The county is situated on the southern side of the Dabie Mountains. This mountain range serves as a significant geographical feature and a major tourist destination, attracting thousands of visitors from across the province annually. Notable landmarks within the region include the Tiantangzhai National Forest Park, which contains the highest peak of the mountains, as well as Bodaofeng National Forest Park and Sanlifan Hot Spring.
