Donglu

China

Donglu (also written Donglü) is a village in Donglü Town, Qingyuan District, Baoding, in Hebei province, China. It lies in the northern part of the country, within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, rather than in the Chongqing municipality of southwest China.

The village is known for the reported apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, referred to as Our Lady of China, which was said to have been witnessed there in 1900. In the years since, a Marian shrine and pilgrimage site have developed at Donglu, drawing Catholic pilgrims to the village.
