Liugong

China

Liugong is a town in Hainan, China. It is located in the southern part of the province, within Lingshui Li Autonomous County, near the island's southeastern coast. The settlement lies inland from the South China Sea, in a region characterised by tropical terrain and Li cultural heritage.

As with much of Hainan, the surrounding area is predominantly agricultural, with the local economy historically based on farming and fishing. The town serves as a small administrative and market centre for the villages around it. Its population includes a significant Li ethnic community, the indigenous people of Hainan.

Liugong is not a major tourist destination and remains largely off the main visitor routes that pass through Hainan's coastal resorts. It is reached by road from Lingshui and neighbouring towns. The climate is tropical, with a wet season and a drier, cooler period.
