Gaocun is a town in Hunan Province, China, and serves as the county seat of Mayang Miao Autonomous County. It is located in the mid-northern part of the county. The town's name is written as 高村 in Chinese.
The present town was formed on November 25, 2015, through a merger of Luxikou Township, Liping Township, Gudapo Township, and the former Gaocun Town. It covers an area of 187.6 square kilometres and has a population of 104,300.
In May 2016 the town was divided into 37 villages and communities, and the seat of local government is at Gaocun.
