Gaobu

China

Gaobu is a town in Guangdong province, China, located within the Shuixiang Area. It falls under the jurisdiction of Dongguan, a prefecture-level city in the Pearl River Delta region.

The Shuixiang Area is the fifth largest of the six areas that make up Dongguan's administrative divisions. Gaobu's position within this area places it in one of the province's core delta districts, a region defined by its river network and proximity to the Pearl River estuary.

As a town rather than a county-level unit, Gaobu forms part of the local administrative structure beneath Dongguan, which is one of the few prefecture-level cities in China that governs towns directly without an intervening county level.
