Dazhou is a prefecture-level city in China. It lies in the northeast of Sichuan province, bordering Shaanxi to the north and Chongqing to the east and south.
At the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, its resident population was 5,304,300. The urbanization rate was 52.72%, with an urban population of 2.794 million and a rural population of 2.506 million. The built-up area is made up of two urban districts.
