Baipu

China

Baipu is a town in Guangdong Province, southern China. It lies within the administrative area of Zijin County in Heyuan, a prefecture-level city in the province's northeastern interior. The surrounding region is largely rural and hilly, characteristic of the uplands of eastern Guangdong.

Like much of Guangdong, the area is predominantly Han Chinese, with Hakka culture and language historically prominent in Zijin County and its neighbouring districts. The local economy is based mainly on agriculture and small-scale commerce, with the wider Heyuan area known for its reservoirs, rivers and forested terrain.

Baipu is not a major tourist destination and is served by local roads connecting it to Zijin's county seat and to the wider Heyuan region. Detailed published information about the town itself is limited, and it should not be confused with other places bearing similar names elsewhere in China.
