Chunhua

China

Chunhua is a town and subdistrict in the Tianjin municipality of northern China. It lies within the municipality's rural northern area, near the border with Hebei province, rather than in the dense urban core around the Hai River. Administratively it falls under the jurisdiction of the Tianjin municipal government, one of China's four directly administered municipalities.

Like much of the surrounding region, the area sits on the North China Plain, a broad, flat and heavily farmed landscape. The local economy has traditionally been tied to agriculture, with nearby wetlands and reservoirs characteristic of Tianjin's rural outskirts. The town is connected to the wider municipality by road and is within reach of Tianjin's larger urban centres.

Chunhua should not be confused with Chunhua County in Shaanxi province, an entirely separate administrative area in central China under the city of Xianyang. The two share a name but lie in different parts of the country and have no administrative connection.
