Gaotang is a town in Hua County, in the eastern part of Shaanxi province, China. It lies on the northern slopes of the Qin Mountains, roughly 17 kilometres (11 miles) southeast of downtown Weinan.
Administratively, the town is made up of villages rather than urban neighbourhoods; as of 2011 it had 41 villages under its administration. Its position on the northern edge of the Qin Mountains places it within the broader Weinan area of eastern Shaanxi.
