Yangzi is a city located in Shandong province, in eastern China. Shandong sits on the country's eastern coast, along the lower reaches of the Yellow River, and Yangzi is one of the many urban settlements within the province.
Like much of Shandong, the area around Yangzi lies within the North China Plain, a broad and relatively flat region that has long supported dense settlement and agriculture. The province as a whole is known for its long history and for its position between the Yellow River basin to the north and the coastal cities to the east.
Detailed information about Yangzi specifically is limited, and it is not among the province's larger or better-known cities. It should not be confused with the Yangtze (Yangzi) River, the longest river in China, which flows through central and eastern China but does not pass through Shandong.
