Fuxin is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Liaoning province, People's Republic of China. It lies near the border with the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to the north.
According to the 2020 census, Fuxin had a total population of 1,647,280 inhabitants, a figure that was decreasing at the time of the count. Of that total, 716,494 people lived in the built-up area, which encompasses the city's four urban districts and is collectively known as "Fuxin City."
