Xiaodian is a district of Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province in North China. It is one of the six districts that make up the prefecture-level city of Taiyuan.
The district was established in 1998 during a boundary reorganization. It was formed from selected townships and sub-districts that had previously belonged to the former Nanjiao District and Nancheng District.
Xiaodian covers a total area of 295 square kilometers.
