Guangning is a county in western Guangdong Province, China, under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Zhaoqing. It is alternately romanized as Kwongning County. The county covers an area of 2,380 square kilometers (920 square miles) and has a population of 408,112.
Its location in western Guangdong places it within the broader Pearl River Delta region's western periphery, under the municipal jurisdiction of Zhaoqing. The county seat and surrounding settlements form part of Zhaoqing's administrative territory.
Guangning is primarily known for its administrative status as one of Zhaoqing's constituent counties, with its size and population making it a significant rural jurisdiction within the prefecture. The alternate romanization Kwongning reflects older transliteration conventions used for the area.
