Dongba

China

Dongba is a town in the Beijing municipality of China, located in the eastern part of the city, in Chaoyang District. It lies near the eastern section of the capital's urban area, close to the Liangma River and the diplomatic district, and is served by the Beijing Subway's Line 14 at Dongba Station.

The area is primarily a residential and light-commercial district on the eastern edge of Beijing's built-up zone. It has seen considerable redevelopment as the city has expanded outward, with older village housing giving way to apartment complexes and new roads.

Note: the name Dongba is also used for the religion and priests of the Nakhi people of southwest China, an unrelated subject.
