Taling is a city in Liaoning Province, in northeastern China. It is one of the administrative divisions of the province, situated in its northern portion within the broader Dongbei (Northeast China) region.
Like much of Liaoning, the area around Taling is part of a region long associated with heavy industry and agriculture, and the province as a whole has a continental climate with cold, dry winters and warm, humid summers. Liaoning is bordered by the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea to the south and shares international boundaries with North Korea along the Yalu River.
Detailed, verifiable information about Taling specifically is limited, and it is not among the province's better-known cities such as Shenyang, Dalian, or Anshan. Reliable published sources describing its history, economy, or attractions are scarce, so only these basic geographic facts can be stated with confidence.
