Shagang is a town in Liaoning Province, in northeastern China. It lies within the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Anshan, a major industrial centre of the region, and is situated in the southern part of Liaoning on the Liaodong Peninsula.
Like much of Anshan's surrounding territory, Shagang is associated with heavy industry, particularly the iron and steel sector for which the Anshan area is known. The town's name is shared with several other places and enterprises in China, including a large steel company based in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu, but that firm is unrelated to this Liaoning locality.
Detailed published information about Shagang as a settlement is limited, and it is best known simply as one of the industrial townships of Anshan's administrative territory.
