Youjiang is a district of Baise in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, named for the You River (Youjiang) that flows through the area. It serves as the administrative and commercial centre of Baise, a city in western Guangxi near the border with Yunnan province.
The You River rises in eastern Yunnan and runs through Guangxi, joining the Zuo River near Nanning to form the Yong River. These rivers are part of the Pearl River system, which empties into the South China Sea near Guangzhou in Guangdong province. The river has historically been an important transport route through the region.
Youjiang is known for its association with the Baise Uprising of 1929, a Communist-led revolt that took place in the area, and the Baise Uprising Memorial Hall there commemorates the event. The district also serves as a gateway to the surrounding karst landscapes and ethnic Zhuang communities of western Guangxi.
