Xinzhou is a prefecture-level city in the north-central part of Shanxi Province in the People's Republic of China. It borders Hebei to the east, Shaanxi to the west, and Inner Mongolia to the northwest. Its ancient name was Xiurong.
As of 2022, Xinzhou had a permanent population of 2,655,563.
