Heshan is a county-level city in the central part of Guangxi, an autonomous region in southern China. It lies on the lower reaches of the Hongshui River, one of the major waterways of the region.
The city is under the administration of Laibin City, a prefecture-level municipality. As a county-level city, Heshan forms part of Laibin's administrative jurisdiction rather than being directly governed at the provincial level.
Its position on the Hongshui River is the most notable geographic feature recorded about the city, placing it within the river system that drains much of central Guangxi.
