Diecai

China

Diecai is a district of Guilin, a city in the Guangxi region of China. It is one of the administrative divisions that make up Guilin's urban area, situated in the northern part of the city.

The district is named after Diecai Hill, a well-known limestone karst formation within its boundaries. The hill's name, which translates roughly to "piled-up colors," refers to the layered appearance of its rock strata. As with much of Guilin, the surrounding landscape is characterized by the steep, rounded karst peaks and river scenery for which the region is famous.

Diecai functions primarily as a residential and administrative district within Guilin, and it contains several of the city's notable natural and cultural sites. Its proximity to the Li River and the central city makes it part of the broader Guilin area that draws visitors for its scenery.
