Maidiping

China

Maidiping is a rural township in Sangzhi County, within the city of Zhangjiajie, in Hunan Province, China. It is an administrative unit at the township level, meaning it comprises a collection of villages rather than a single urban settlement.

The township lies in the mountainous terrain of northwestern Hunan, an area known for its rugged landscape and ethnic diversity. Sangzhi County, to which Maidiping belongs, is one of the counties under the administration of Zhangjiajie, a prefecture-level city best known internationally for its sandstone pillar scenery and national forest park.

As a rural township, Maidiping's character is shaped by agriculture and village life rather than by tourism or industry. Detailed published information about the township is limited, and it remains a minor administrative division within the broader Zhangjiajie region.
