Houping is a Miao and Tujia ethnic township in Wulong District of Chongqing Municipality, China. It is located in the southeastern part of the municipality, in the mountainous terrain of the Wulong Karst region.
The area is noted for its landscape and geological features, which form part of the Wulong Karst. Among these features is Er Wang Dong, a cave system in the township.
As an ethnic township, Houping is designated for the Miao and Tujia ethnic groups, reflecting the presence of these communities in the area.
